WiFi in Motion

Passenger WiFi for coaches, minibuses and shuttles.

Managed onboard WiFi for coach and tour operators, school and college transport, airport and hotel shuttles and group hire. We supply the unit for the vehicle, already configured, and run the same branded login page we run for venues — one setup per vehicle, all looked after from our side.

Talk to us about a fleet See packages and pricing Passenger WiFi + a per-vehicle view in your own login

Your package — £39, £59 or £89 per vehicle per month, no VAT added — plus £10 per vehicle per month for WiFi in Motion. The in-vehicle unit and its fitting are quoted per vehicle: unlike the router that comes with a venue, the vehicle unit is not included in the monthly price. The SIM card and the data are bought from a mobile network.

What you get

The same branded WiFi as a venue, in every vehicle.

Built for commercial passenger use: branded login pages, consent captured the way UK law expects, data controls that hold on a full coach, and a per-vehicle view you can actually check.

Your brand on every phone

Your operator name, a sponsor, or the route and the return time on the first screen a passenger sees when they connect. Change it from our side whenever the season or the contract changes.

Passenger sign-up that stands up

Name, email and mobile number captured at the login step, with a separate, unticked marketing opt-in beside it. A WiFi login is not consent to be emailed under PECR, and the record keeps the choice and the moment it was made.

Fair use, per passenger

Time and bandwidth limits stop one passenger streaming films for three hours from sinking the connection for everybody else on board. The limits are enforced on the unit in the vehicle, not asked for politely on the login page.

Every vehicle in your own login

See each vehicle by name: whether its router is online, how many passengers are connected now, and how much data it has used this month. We keep an eye on the routers from our side too.

Built for a fleet, not a glovebox

This is not a consumer mobile hotspot thrown behind the seat. It is the same managed setup a venue gets, one per vehicle, configured before it is dispatched from within the UK and looked after afterwards.

Kit that suits the vehicle

We supply the unit already configured, with guidance on the data plan for the routes you run. It can run off a 12V socket, or your own coachbuilder or auto-electrician can wire it to the vehicle for a permanent feed.

Use cases

Passenger WiFi for UK transport operators.

Coach WiFi, minibus WiFi, shuttle WiFi, onboard WiFi — the same service under whichever name your tender used. Here is what it looks like in each kind of operation.

Coach and tour operator WiFi

Day trips, private hire and multi-day tours. The login page is a free advertising slot for the operator and the destination, and it is the one screen every passenger looks at.

School and college transport

Home-to-school runs and college shuttles, with time and bandwidth limits set the way the operator and the school want them, and an acceptable use policy accepted before anybody goes online.

Airport, hotel and park-and-ride shuttles

Short hops where the passenger is already holding a phone. A clean branded connection between terminal, hotel and car park, without a password to read out.

Minibuses and group transport

Corporate shuttles, staff transport, sports clubs and private group hire, priced per vehicle so a fleet of four is not quoted like a fleet of forty.

What it costs

One vehicle or a whole fleet, priced per vehicle.

Every vehicle runs on a package — £39, £59 or £89 per vehicle per month, no VAT added — plus £10 per vehicle per month for WiFi in Motion. Fleet discounts for larger fleets. The SIM card and the data are not included.

Your package + £10 per vehicle per month

Every package runs at a fixed venue and on the move. A coach can have the plain branded login page, or passenger sign-up, or the full picture of who travels with you and how often, exactly as a venue would. The vehicle add-on is £10 per vehicle per month on top of the package, and no VAT is added to either.

Fleet discounts

Running more than a handful of vehicles? Ask for a fleet price. We quote the fleet as a whole rather than publishing a volume rate card we would have to defend on every deal.

The SIM card and data are not included

The SIM and the data a vehicle uses are bought from a mobile network, not from us. We help you size the plan against the routes you actually run, so you are not guessing at a bundle.

The unit is quoted per vehicle

The in-vehicle unit and its fitting are quoted per vehicle: unlike the router that comes with a venue, the vehicle unit is not included in the monthly price. A sixteen-seat minibus and a fifty-three-seat coach are not the same job, so we quote the unit and the fitting once we know what you are running.

No passenger cap, no overage

A full coach in half-term is not a bigger invoice. We do not price by how many people connect, which is worth checking against anything else you are looking at.

See the three packages

The same three packages a venue runs, with what each one collects and reports set out side by side.

Fleet view

Every vehicle in your own login.

The same reporting a venue gets, per vehicle: which routers are online, who is connected now, and what each vehicle has used this month. There is no location tracking in this service.

Commercial fleet checklist

What a proper vehicle WiFi deployment needs.

A consumer hotspot can work for a family car. Commercial passenger WiFi needs planning, limits and somebody watching it.

Routes and coverage, checked first

Which roads, which dead spots, which stops, and how many passengers at once. That decides the data plan and the kit before anybody signs anything.

Power in the vehicle

We supply the unit already configured for the job. It can run from a 12V socket, or a qualified auto-electrician or your coachbuilder can wire it in permanently. That is the one part of this that needs a pair of hands in the depot, and we give them the plan.

Passenger login and UK consent

Your terms, a plain-English consent line and a separate, unticked marketing opt-in at the login step, under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR. The evidence is stored with the record.

Reporting and support

You see which vehicles are online and what each has used, in your own login, and we watch the routers from our side. Support runs Monday to Friday, 06:00–15:00 GMT (07:00–16:00 BST) — the desk is open before the first departure.

At a fixed venue: We run on your existing broadband: all we need is a spare network port, a power socket and a spot with good signal to guests. Broadband and line charges are not included.

FAQ

WiFi in Motion questions.

What is WiFi in Motion?

Managed passenger WiFi for moving vehicles: coaches, minibuses, shuttles, tour vehicles and school transport. It is the unit in the vehicle, the branded login page passengers see, the fair-use limits behind it, a per-vehicle view in your own login, and someone keeping an eye on the routers. The SIM card and the mobile data are bought from a network and are not included.

Is it just a mobile hotspot?

For a commercial fleet, no. The box is the easy part. An operator also needs the power sorted, a data plan sized for the routes, limits so one passenger cannot take the whole connection, a branded login page, consent captured properly, and a view of which vehicles are online and what each one is using.

Do passengers see our branding?

Yes. Passengers connect through the same branded login page a venue gets, with your terms, your consent wording and your bandwidth limits. Advertising on the page, vouchers and paid access are available as add-ons.

Can a vehicle use more than one network?

A dual-SIM unit can be quoted where the routes justify it. The design starts from the roads you actually run, the mobile coverage along them and how much data you expect to use. The SIMs and the data are still yours to buy.

Does it track the vehicle?

No. There is no GPS, no live location and no passenger tracking in this service. What you get per vehicle is whether the router is online, how many people are connected now, and how much data it has used. If you want vehicle tracking, that is a different product from a different supplier.

Which package does a vehicle use?

Any of the three. All three run at a fixed venue and on the move, so a shuttle can have the same branded login page, the same passenger sign-up and the same reporting as a building.

What does it cost?

Every vehicle runs on a package — £39, £59 or £89 per vehicle per month, no VAT added — plus £10 per vehicle per month for WiFi in Motion. Fleet discounts are available for larger fleets. The SIM card and data are not included. The in-vehicle unit and its fitting are quoted per vehicle: unlike the router that comes with a venue, the vehicle unit is not included in the monthly price.
